The Airwasher AHU utilizes an airwasher and water spray for cooling, eliminating the need for a cooling coil. For heating, warm water from a boiler is pumped through the coil (copper finned tubes) of the AHU, and a fan blows fresh air over the coils, transferring heat to the air.
This type of AHU should not be used in humid areas or places where moisture could be damaging, such as server rooms or locations where metal rusting might occur.
